YIHUA / BUYER GUIDE
How to Customize Seasonal Stamp Sets for Retail and Party Favors
A custom seasonal stamp set starts with the collection you want to sell: the occasion, the number of stamps, the artwork and the retail presentation. Buyers can often develop a new collection around an existing plastic stamp body, changing the impression designs, body colors and packaging for their brand.
YIHUA is a custom kids stamp manufacturer in Zhejiang, China. Our production examples include mesh bags, bags with header cards, blister cards, gift card assortments and printed boxes. Customers have reordered these formats with different seasonal designs. This guide explains what to settle before requesting a quotation and approving samples.
Start with the sales channel and launch date
An Easter basket filler, a Valentine classroom exchange and a Christmas craft gift can use a similar stamp format while needing different assortments. Decide whether customers will buy one stamp, a small activity set or a larger collection. Then specify how it will be displayed and distributed.
Give your manufacturer the date the goods need to reach your warehouse or retail channel. The holiday itself is too late to serve as a delivery target. Ask for a schedule covering artwork approval, samples, production and shipment before committing to a launch. Lead times need to be confirmed for the actual order.
Choose the packaging around the assortment
For custom stamp packaging, select the contents and pack format together. A pack of eight gift cards paired with eight stamps is a different product from one blister card holding eight stamps. A quotation should state the contents of one retail pack clearly.
| Packaging | YIHUA production example | Decision for the buyer |
|---|---|---|
| Mesh bag | 6 stamps | Check the assortment and space available for the tag. |
| Bag with header card | 10 or 12 stamps | Set the header dimensions and confirm how the contents will sit. |
| Blister card | 8 stamps on one card | Review the complete arrangement and printed card together. |
| Gift cards with stamps | 8 cards + 8 stamps or 12 cards + 12 stamps | Confirm that each card is paired with one stamp. |
| Color box or window box | 26 stamps | Confirm the inside arrangement as well as the closed box. |
These are examples of formats our factory team has produced, rather than a fixed catalog of ready-stock sets. For one window-box project, the collection included ten design versions. One photographed box cannot show every possible theme or packaging color.
Separate body shape from stamp artwork
The plastic body, impression artwork and printed packaging are separate parts of a private label stamp set. With an existing body, a brand can change the collection without developing a new exterior shape. YIHUA owns stamp molds and reviews suitable existing formats against each brief.
If you need a different plastic shape, ask for a separate tooling assessment. The fee for engraving the stamp designs does not describe the cost of developing a new plastic body mold. Confirm the body colors and the desired impression colors separately against samples.
Make customization costs clear before sampling
For YIHUA custom stamp artwork, the engraving plate fee is RMB 3,000 per set. This is a fixed, non-refundable plate-making fee. It is separate from the product unit price and packaging sample charges.
A color box sample costs RMB 300–500 and is refundable with the corresponding bulk production order. Ask the quotation to identify the artwork set and packaging sample covered by each charge. Product MOQ, unit price and production schedule depend on the selected configuration and must be confirmed by quotation. These custom stamp projects are made to order.
When comparing manufacturers, compare the same pack contents, artwork scope and packaging format. A lower price for a smaller assortment or a simpler package is not a like-for-like comparison. Include the one-time development charges in your first-order budget.
Approve the impression and the packed product
A packaging illustration alone cannot confirm the finished stamp result. Review actual impressions for the approved designs, especially any small lettering and detailed elements. Check the selected plastic colors and the assortment against the same approved reference.
For packaging, confirm the number of pieces, card or box artwork, inside arrangement and retail pack contents. The gift-card count should match the number of stamps promised on the pack. Tell us the destination market and required testing documents so we can review the selected product version; do not assume every format or ink option has identical documentation.
Plan repeat orders around the approved designs
Repeat orders using the same approved stamp designs do not incur a second engraving plate fee at YIHUA. New seasonal artwork requiring a new engraved plate carries a new plate fee, even when the plastic body remains the same.
For Easter, Valentine’s Day, Halloween and Christmas collections, keep a record of the approved design files, body colors, pack contents and sample version. Identify exactly what will change on the next order. Confirm the quotation and delivery schedule again for each collection.
Send a brief that can be quoted
Send your target season, sales channel, destination market, expected quantity of retail packs, stamps per pack, artwork count, body color preferences, packaging reference and required delivery date. Include existing artwork or explain where design support is needed.
YIHUA can help develop stamp patterns and packaging layouts around your ideas. Our usual quotation basis is FOB Ningbo. Share the brief with Lucy at lxiaoxian232@gmail.com to discuss suitable molds, artwork, packaging samples and a production quotation.
